Welcome to the home of all-time great Akita's. Here we continue with our introduction to the Akita's that have made history and broken records. These are the dogs that can legitimately lay claim to being the all-time greats in the breed. On these pages you will find just a few of the dogs that have made the Redwitch kennel the No. 1 Akita kennel in the world. It is here that we pay tribute to these dogs who have excelled in and out of the ring. We continue our tribute with an Akita that took the American showring by storm: BISS BIS Am. Ch. Redwitch Reason To Believe. When we sent Macey to America we knew that she was very special. Macey fulfilled her promise and in only 2 short years she had become the Top Winning Akita All-Time in America. Handled by Laurie Jordan- Fenner, Macey started taking the top honours in 2006 and by April of that year Macey had become the No. 1 Akita in America and No. 6 in the Working Group. With back-to-back Best In Show wins, Macey was making her presence felt and by the half-way point of 2006, she had chalked up an amazing 11 Best In Show wins. In August of 2006, Macey took an astonishing 4 back-to-back Best In Show wins and finished the year as the No. 1 Akita Group Systems USA, the No. 2 Working Dog and the only Akita to win 20 Best In Show awards in 1 year. To add to her list of accolades for the year Macey won Best In Show at the 2006 Akita Club of America National Specialty. 2006 had been a great year for BIS BISS Am. Ch. Redwitch Reason To Believe, but Macey was to exceed all expectations in 2007. Starting the year with her 21st Best In Show win, Macey went on to win Best of Breed and the Working Group at the prestigious Westminster Show. Macey was the first Akita bitch to ever win the Working Group at Westminster and by the following month she had won her 26th Best In Show and taken the top spot as No. 1 Dog All-Breeds In America. Repeating her win from the previous year, Macey won Best In Show at the 2007 Akita Club of America National Specialty. After winning the Group at the Eukanuba Classic, Macey finished 2007 winning her 61st All-Breed Best In Show award and as the No. 2 Dog All-Breeds in America. In just 2 years of showing some of Macey's achievements included: Top Winning Akita All-Time in America 62 Best In Show wins No. 1 Akita 2006 & 2007 No. 2 Dog All Breeds 2007 No. 2 Working Dog 2006 118 Group 1 wins Best in Show at the Akita Club of America National Specialty 2006 & 2007 The only Akita Bitch to win 2 consecutive BIS wins at the ACA National Specialty Group 1 at Westminster 2007 & 2008 Group 1 at the Eukanuba Classic Working Dog Showdog of the Year 2007 In addition to all of these wins, Macey also has also proved to be a wonderful ambassador for the breed. Thank you to all of those who supported Macey on her way to the top....
TRIBUTE. None of the above would have been possible without the backing and belief in Macey of the Late Mr Roger Rechler, who has owned and campaigned so many great dogs. What a tragic loss to the American Dog Scene. We owe both him and Laurie a sincere debt of gratitude for such a fantastic job and a wonderful achievement. Please call back soon to see another truly all-time great Akita.
